Olivia's 1st swim lesson

Although these pictures are a little blurry, you can kinda see how Olivia's 1st swim lesson went...

After first seeing the pool, she was super excited. She wanted to run over and touch the water. She didn't act the slightest bit nervous or scared. She was even fine after we got into the water, but shortly there after--- it all went downhill.

The swim school that we enrolled in teach us how to interact with Olivia in the pool (different holds and water skills), they teach her how to float on her back and they practice submersion. Even though the first lesson wasn't totally smooth and she got a little stressed out during the session, I am looking forward to trying it again next week and through the rest of the class.
I'm hoping that practice makes perfect!

Here we are practicing different different ways for us to hold the little ones in the pool. As you can tell, Olivia isn't the only one that gets upset.

This is right after we submerged her for the first time. She was distraught to say the least, but each week it'll get a little better until she learns she doesn't have to be scared of the pool. I truly believe since she loves her bath time that she will learn to love the pool just as much...
