Babymoon Stop #2-Charleston, SC

After leaving Greenville last Monday we made our way to stop #2... Charleston, SC
This was also our first time visiting Charleston, so we had a ton to see in a few days. We were told the best way to see the historic district is to take a carriage ride-so we did!

Here are some of the gorgeous sites we saw during our tour...

You can see Fort Sumter in the distance to the right. We'll have to take that tour when it's a little warmer.

The house below -The Calhoun House- is over 24,000 square feet and is estimated to be worth over $40 million. It's the second largest house in the city.

In downtown Charleston you can see the theater where Noah and Allie have their first date in my favorite movie - The Notebook

Checking out the beaches... You can tell nobody goes out to the beach this time of year, there were a ton of shells.

Angel Oak... The biggest tree I have ever seen in person.

This should give you an idea of how big it is. See how small Tony is beside it...

We drove to the Charleston Tea Plantation to check it out. It's the only working tea farm in the US.

I think we will also look at the Charleston area when looking at job openings. It is a beautiful city with tons to do. I'm sure our girls would love growing up minutes from the beach.

Babymoon Stop #1-Greenville, SC

Thursday, Tony and I drove to Greenville, SC to begin our Babymoon. We chose cities that we have never visited in hopes of finding the perfect place for Tony to start his career and raise our family. Although the weather didn't want to cooperate and Greenville got around 4 inches of snow while we were there (a VERY RARE occurance), we still found that we LOVED Greenville. With a gorgeous downtown, close proximity to many lakes and mountains as well as being close to Atlanta and Charlotte. It seems like a wonderful area.

This is an awesome park and you have to see it in person to appreciate it!

Some nice man asked if we wanted our picture at the entrance of the park... Everybody we talked to seemed so friendly.

Here are photos of Downtown Greenville. It's a super charming little city.

We stayed at the Westin Poinsett. Here is a picture of the fountain in front of the hotel. It's half frozen over, but still really pretty.

We truly had a great time and can't wait to start job searching to see if Greenville will have any openings. We've got our fingers crossed... We really loved it here!

Gotta love Mickey Mouse!

We don't have very many mornings that we are all home to enjoy a family breakfast together, so during Tony's snow day Olivia and I made chocolate chip pancakes, but we made a special Mickey Mouse pancake for her with a chocolate chip face. Needless to say, she only wanted the chocolate chips, at least Tony and I enjoyed our pancakes...
