Big Girl Car Seat!

Olivia has finally reached 20 pounds!!!
We were finally able to put her in a forward-facing car seat. As much of a pain in the butt as it was, it was totally worth it. Riding in the car with her now is hilarious. Anytime we turn around to look at her she says "hi" as if she has just realized we were there.
She is absolutely enjoying her new view!

I'm siiiiiiiick...

Over the weekend, Olivia had her first real cold. With a runny nose, congestion and a cough, she was attached to our hip most of the weekend. Even for her naps she wanted to sleep on us. Considering she is Miss Independent, it was kinda nice to snuggle with her a bit...

New shoes...

Here are pictures of Olivia in her first pair of Nikes.

Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k Count Down

Our special Valentine's weekend...

Tony and I were lucky to have my mom come down to visit over this past weekend. We were able to run the race in the morning and then in the evening we went to a romantic dinner at Avalon's in downtown Richmond. Then we went to the Landmark Theatre to see the Richmond Ballet and Symphony perform Cinderella (which was amazing).
It was a very memorable day! Not only did we get a must needed break, but Olivia got some quality time with Mamaw...

Sweetheart 8k

Our Valentine's Day began with a bang...
Tony and I decided to run the Sweetheart 8k in Midlothian, VA. I've been "training" for a long time on the treadmill for it, but boy were we surprised when we saw how hilly the course was. It was only 28 degrees when we started, but we wore plenty of layers and our bodies warmed up pretty quickly with all the mountains we needed to climb in order to finish the race.

 This is the BEFORE shot...

And, the AFTER shot...
Yes, I said after shot, we managed to cross the finish line in just under 56 minutes. Tony was a great running partner. He could have run it a lot faster without me, but he stuck by my side. He helped me not only finish, but run the entire 5 miles without walking.
Now we are anxiously awaiting the Ukrop's Monument Ave. 10k the end of March.

I'm Just a Love Machine

Olivia got her first Valentine of 2009 from Nana and Pop Pop today... She, as you can tell is enthralled with the "dancing man". I think she likes his sunglasses. She also is enjoying her new peek-a-boo book. She points and says "that" to everything, wanting to know what it is. And she'll be sporting new tennis shoes, which she always needs since she has a monster growing foot. Thanks Nana and Pop Pop!!!

Boyfriend

We were happy to have Keagan come over to spend a couple hours with us today. It is fun seeing them grow older together. They are also more interested in playing with each other. They are learning how to share well and get along great. Thanks for coming to visit Keagan!

Big Mouth

Olivia has been talking for quite awhile, but here is some video of her newest "tricks" (for lack of a better word :) ) She is catching on to at least one new word a day. Yesterday's words were hot dog and clock... But her favorites are still Bella, or "Belba", apple, ball, juice and of course, Dada and Mama.

She also has learned a few animal sounds-according to her, a cow says "BOOOOO", not MOO. Her snake is also hilarious... Sometimes we are lucky and we get sounds for sheep and monkey too.

Big Splash...

I wanted to share some pictures from Olivia's bath time today...

She has always loved the bathtub, but now it's a little easier to tell! Pictures can't do it justice, so there is a little video as well. Enjoy :)

Ham

Olivia was being a ham for the camera a couple days ago, so here are some of my favorites...

Juicy Juice

Since conquering how to use a straw over Christmas, Olivia loves drinking her juice, by herself, like a big girl...
