Halloween!

Halloween was fun this year.
Olivia dressed up like a Care Bear-Cheer Bear. Once we got started she had a fun time.
She liked seeing all the other children dressed up. She especially loved the princesses all evening. She insisted on saying hello and good bye to every princess she passed.

Before we got started, we played in the playground.

We pulled the wagon, so she could have a couple care bear friends with her, but she was more excited to carry her pumpkin treat basket.

Prepping her to say Trick-or-Treat...

Checking out the decorations with Daddy

One of the few moments she kept her hood on for a photo.

It was a warm evening, unfortunately her costume was hot. The end of the evening - she is starting to fade. Let's head home!

Wow! Look Daddy I got candy!!!

Her first Halloween bucket of goodies.

Trying her first Skittle...
It's a little sour

On to her favorite-
M&M's

She was a doll. She did great all evening. She didn't say Trick or Treat but 2 or 3 times, fortunately she said thank you to every person at every house. She has such good manners!

Our trip to Austin!!!

Tony and I went to Austin, Texas in October for about 5 days for a national PM&R Conference, where Tony had a poster presentation.

I have to admit the best part of my trip was when we got back and I got to see Olivia after such a long time away from her. Here she is in her souvenir...
New pink cowboy boots, straight out of the heart of Texas!

Here is Tony in front of his poster!

Austin had lots of shopping, but one of our favorite shops was Mellow Johnny's.
Lance Armstrong opened this store in Austin as a museum/bike shop. Along the wall he hangs his yellow jerseys and some of his bikes from famous races he was in or should I say won.

Austin also had really good food. On South Congress, we found neat trailers set up daily with DELICIOUS cupcakes and a brand new find for me...

Cones!
They are tortillas in a cone with chicken, shrimp or many other combinations.
A must try if you are in the area!!!

I would also recommend Doc's-a great atmosphere with awesome food.

The Texas State History Museum

As sport fans, we decided to take a look at Texas's campus and football stadium.
This is the biggest jumbo tron I have ever seen. 55 feet by 134 feet.

Here we are with Earl Campbell

Here is Tony with a few of the other residents in his program.

Here is a photo of Texas's tower, where the deadliest campus shooting occurred up until the Virginia Tech shootings in 1966.

This is a shot of the back of the Texas state capital.

Playing pool with friends.

We had a great time in the "live music capital of the world". It was a treat to spend time with friends. We had a wonderful time and will definitely try to make it back to Austin again one day.
