A weekend in Roanoke/Blacksburg

Friday night we drove to Roanoke to enjoy the nice spring weather and visit Blacksburg for the VT spring game on Saturday. On Friday, we went to our favorites...the beautiful park close to where we used to live and then we went to Brambleton Deli for dinner. On Saturday morning we woke up and went for a run by the river in front of Roanoke Memorial, then we got ready and went to Macado's for lunch... mmmm! Then we drove to Blacksburg for the spring game. We got to see about 3 plays before Olivia had enough. With roughly 40,000 people, the noise was a little overwhelming, so we walked around the stadium for a bit, then enjoyed some of campus.

Checking out the Hokies from a distance... (farther from the noise!)

Man, that sun is bright...

Trying to figure out this football stuff... "What just happened Dadda?"

Look at my cute bloomers...

She was tuckered out.

Wearing plenty of sunscreen, hence the oily hair...

Nice open grass to run in.

Picking dandelions!

When we got home, Olivia was happy to get a bath and clean off all the sunscreen...

Now, she's ready for bed-

After we brush her crazy hair!!!
